2022-2023 Volunteer Opportunities
The Booster Club executive board is looking to add new perspectives and energy to our team for the 2022-23 school year.
Specific Opportunities:
Co-President – We would like to have two people in this role to ensure a smooth transition. This person is responsible for overseeing all activities, chairing the meetings and supporting the rest of the team. Time commitment is about 5 hours per month.
Member at Large – These people attend the executive board meetings and support the various committees and activities. Time commitment is about 3-5 hours per month.
Social Media Chair - This is a new position to promote awareness of the purpose and activities of the Booster Club through ongoing communication efforts using social media tools. Time commitment is 1-2 hours per month
External Relations Liaison – This new position will connect with the other high schools and AAPS to understand policies, identify best practices and look for synergies. Expected time commitment is 1-2 hours per month.
Communications Committee – Responsible for the website, newsletters and promotions for the Silent Auction and other Booster Club business. Time commitment is about 3-5 hours per month.
Concessions Committee – Supports the concessions chair. Time commitment is about 3-5 hours per month.
Fundraising Committee – This team manages the online and event logistics related to the spring fundraiser. Time commitment is about 20-30 hours total.
Descriptions of Board Positions:
Vice-President – This person supports the president and oversees the communications committee.
Co-Treasurer – This team ensures funds are in the right place, runs monthly reports, supports online fundraising campaigns, etc. Time commitment is about 10 hours per month each.
Concessions Chair – This person oversees concessions activities, manages inventory, considers new menu items and manages equipment and facility issues. Time commitment is about 10 hours per month.
Membership Chair - This person keeps track of membership. Time commitment 10-12 hours in September, 1-2 hours per month for all other months.
Fundraising Chair – This is a new position to help coordinate and leverage a variety of fundraisers, including the silent auction, banners, Drive 4 Your School, etc. Estimated time commitment is 3-5 hours per month.
